We woke up and Rebecca made breakfast while I sat on the bed trying to wake up. We left early enough for us to stop so I could get coffee before we headed to church. The coffee worked because as soon as we got there I had to go try to clog the porcelain pony.
After church, we went home and Rebecca made lunch and then we headed to Costco to stock up on eggs, lemon juice and chicken. I had tried to sneak a 48 count box of pop tarts into the cart which Rebecca found once we got to the checkout line. I looked at the check out lady, handed her the box and said “I’m not allowed to get the pop tarts” and then I looked at the ground like a scolded puppy. The lady laughed. We bought a large bottle of lemon juice to add flavor to my water for the rest of the whole 30 diet, but we didn’t realize it was supped to come in a 2-pack. We now have 1/2 a gallon of lemon juice. I said “we can have lemon flavored everything, except pop tarts”. This made the checker, bagger and Rebecca burst out in to laughter for about 10 minutes while I stood there with a single tear falling down my rosy cheek.
As we walked through the parking lot, we were steps from our car when a lady pulled in next to us, but she came in at such an angle that there was les than an inch between our cars. I politely went to her door as she was getting out and said “we can’t leave if you keep your car parked like that.” She got out to look as if to prove me wrong. When she couldn’t fit her finger between the cars she acted surprised and I had to help back her out. I am surprised she didn’t hit us. Once she had backed out, all the scrapes along her side walls and fenders made me think that she was not the best at parking. We went home, put away the Costco groceries and then went to Safeway to get everything else we needed, but didn’t need 100 of.
We got home, grabbed snacks and then went to the cinema to watch a movie about monkeys. It was not a fictional movie, it was a nature documentary about a group of monkeys living in the jungle of Sri Lanka. I was more excited about watching monkeys than I have been for anything else in months.
After the Oscar worthy movie, we went home and I did some research on the movie. Rebecca was not surprised to find out that most of the action sequences were not scripted. I grabbed a few spoonful’s of almond butter and dehydrated bananas as my dinner and Rebecca made her lunches for the week before going to bed. I am debating on climbing Koo Head tomorrow morning. I haven’t made up my mind yet.
